Fans support the team in training
Close to 5,000 fans attended Real Madrid"s training this morning at Alfredo di Stefano Stadium. Jose Mourinho had all his men with him save for the injured Dudek and Higuain. Mahamadou Diarra missed the session again with the Club"s permission to address family problems.
Real Madrid continued preparting for their 3 January 2011 match against Getafe, their first clash in the New Year.
The players did warm-up exercises and then split into two groups to do ball work. One comprised Casillas, Arbeloa, Albiol, Ramos, Marcelo, Xabi, Lass, Ozil, Kaka, Pedro Leon and Benzema; the other Adan, Mateos, Garay, Carvalho, Pepe, Gago, Khedira, Canales, Granero, Juanfran and Morata. Cristiano Ronaldo and Di Maria were extra men on both sides, joining whichever team had possession of the ball.
The squad divided into four groups to play two practice games. Many goals were scored and fans were thrilled. Benzema, Granero, Cristiano, Di Maria, Lass... Supporters cheered after each strike was netted. Kaka also scored a goal and received an ovation from the stands, which shows just how anxious fans are to see him in action again.
